JUSTMAD in its fifteenth edition continues with the firm mission of presenting new gallery projects, in addition to the presence of artists who are currently leading the contemporary art scene.
A fair that defines itself as a "space for discovery", proving to be an effective locator of new values and projects. With the clear challenge of continuing to be a space for learning, accompaniment and a springboard for galleries and artists.
As in its previous editions, JUSTMAD 2024 presents, in its fifteenth celebration, a selection of GUEST PROJECTS that return to the fair, the transversality of their artistic proposals. This time, the section brings together artists and projects whose creative dynamic leads them through different itineraries, manifestations and interests within contemporary art, and experiment with disciplines and formats in tune with the most recent aesthetic and creative trends. JUSTMAD is committed to an active and dynamic space, for which projects with a variety of media have been selected, such as live interventions by artists Iván Villalobos & Vanessa Paz; installation and site specifics by artist SFHIR, as well as the project "Yo también pintto" by Fundación Inclusive (Madrid).

JUSTMAD presents, on its fifteenth anniversary and for the third consecutive year, the Ras de Terra Artistic Residency Programme in Villanueva de la Vera (Cáceres). After the success of previous editions, this project is consolidating and renewing its commitment to emerging art, the rural context and the environment. For the first time, the three artists selected from the galleries participating in the fair: Marco Pardo (A Ciegas Art Gallery), Carlos G. Torrico (Zona Incontrolable) and Carla Piacenza (SKIASCOPE), will work together with the Extremaduran designer Silvia González (DIEX, Designers Association of Extremadura), who will intervene together in a public space, with the help of the Villanueva de la Vera Town Council and under the direction and curatorship of Mónica Sánchez-Robles.
Part of the works produced during the residency will be exhibited at the Ras de Terra stand at the contemporary art fair JUSTMAD, at the Palacio Neptuno in Madrid from 7 to 10 March 2024.
What is Cópula?
Cópula is a creative dialogue between visual and performing artists, promoting synergies between disciplines. A space whose objective is contemporary artistic research. For JUSTMAD 2024, three live arts proposals have been created based on the plastic and visual discourse of 4 artists exhibited at the fair by different galleries.
